  • Vinegar

Vinegar can have multiple uses around the home. Among other things, it effectively eliminates weeds and moss that develop on terrace paving stones, due to its acetic acid content. To do this, simply mix one part white vinegar with two parts water in a spray bottle.  Then water the areas to be weeded and leave to act until the vegetation begins to yellow and wilt. Once the leaves have died, all you have to do is pull them from the ground. Do not hesitate to repeat the operation regularly to prevent a possible reappearance. Since vinegar is also an excellent cleaner, it will also help you remove gasoline, motor oil and grease stains from driveways.

Cracks on driveways, slabs and interlocking pavers are favorite places for weeds. Besides vinegar,  other methods can help you  solve the problem for good.

  • Baking soda
Baking soda

To say goodbye to weeds that grow between the cracks of the paving stones, baking soda will be your ally.  Just like vinegar, this product is safe to use on your garden’s paving stones and paths. To begin, moisten the affected area using a garden hose. Then sprinkle the weeds with baking soda. The latter will gradually dry out the plant and weaken the roots. You can then remove it effortlessly or let it decompose naturally. This operation must be repeated every 4 to 6 weeks.

  • Pour boiling water

The other effective tip for getting rid of weeds is to use boiling water which  will  easily reach the roots and cause immediate wilting of these unwanted plants. To achieve this, simply bring a pot of water to a boil and pour it directly onto the unwanted stems and leaves. Of course, the container must be handled gently to avoid any risk of burning. It is possible  to use  potato cooking water in the same way. The starch contained in this solution will act as a real natural weedkiller.

  • Salt
