Lemon juice prevents yellowing of leaves
In addition to all the compounds mentioned above, citrus fruits are also rich in potassium, an important mineral for the proper growth and development of orchids. It promotes the passage of water in the plant, the opening and closing of stomata and the management of carbohydrates. A deficiency in this element results in deformed and yellowed leaves.
You can provide all the active ingredients of lemon juice to orchids by watering them. Its preparation and application are as follows:
- Prepare 200 milliliters of water.
- Add three drops of squeezed lemon and mix.
- Pour everything into a watering can.
- Repeat the operation after a month.
How to dust leaves?
Orchids have fairly large leaves, so they accumulate a lot of dust.

Lemon juice for plants
Lemon water for plants is useful when you want to get rid of weeds. Its acidity weakens the plants and gradually neutralizes them.
To prepare this solution for plants, you need to mix 120 milliliters of lemon juice with 1/4 cup of apple cider or white vinegar then water your plant. You will notice the result in a short time.
